Symposium on Industrial-based Biomedical Engineering Research (SIBER) – September 2023 

The first IBTec/IEEE Symposium on Industrial-based Biomedical Engineering Research (SIBER) was held in response to the growing interaction between the Biomedical Engineering and Healthcare Industries fields. The Symposium provided a national technical forum for experts from industry and academia to exchange ideas and present ongoing research results in state-of-the-art Biomedical Engineering.

This Symposium was organised by IEEE NZ North Section and the Institute of Biomedical Technologies, Auckland University of Technology (AUT), during AUT Research Week.

The first EMBS Chapter Committee Meeting in 2023 

The first EMB Chapter Committee Meeting in 2023 was held on 16 March 2023 with three committee members, including Chair, Vice-chair and Secretary, to plan for further activities and organise a conference event in Auckland.
