NZ Council

The IEEE NZ Council exists at the pleasure of the Sections and receives no direct funding from the IEEE Region or HQ. Its function is one of coordination between the three NZ Sections (North, Central and South).

Agreement between IEEE and IPENZ

The IEEE and IPENZ have signed a memorandum of understanding to encourage the exchange of information, and to promote understanding and co-operation between the members of the two institutions. Included in the agreement are:
•reciprocal membership rights for visitors
•encouragement for joint activities
•co-ordination of technical meetings including conferences
•exchange and discounts for publications
•cooperation on standards
•joint membership development
